Kathmandu, August 29 The Chaudhary Foundation and Nabil Bank have announced a multi-phase relief and rehabilitation programme worth approximately Rs 150 million for communities affected by the devastating floods in Rasuwa and Nuwakot. The programme will focus on immediate relief, temporary housing, healthcare and long-term rehabilitation of flood-affected communities. Under the first phase, the organisations will distribute food, drinking water, clothes, tarpaulins, personal hygiene products and other essential supplies to affected families. Relief supplies began reaching affected areas on August 27, with employees of the foundation and bank mobilised to support the distribution. Two relief camps will also be established in Nuwakot and Rasuwa in coordination with local administrations.
